content advisory
Recommended Ages 16+ due to mature themes.
Step beyond the velvet ropes and into a world where elegance met peril.
In this immersive, wax museum–style tour of the Conrad-Caldwell House, guests will be guided room by room through a series of hauntingly beautiful tableaux that reveal the dark side of Victorian domestic life.

As the gaslights flicker, a costumed guide leads small groups through the mansion, where silent figures appear frozen in moments of both refinement and ruin; a corset drawn too tight, a fashionable gown laced with arsenic green, a parlor where mourning and medicine blur. Each vignette draws from authentic 19th-century accounts, including sensational stories once reported in the Louisville Courier-Journal, exposing the hidden hazards and peculiar practices that lurked beneath the Gilded Age’s polished surface.

This is not a haunted house, but a living exhibition — part history, part theatre, and entirely macabre. Visitors will leave with a new appreciation for the beauty, risk, and ritual of Victorian life…and death.
