The Library is the room where most visitors to the house were received.  The woodwork is cherry.

 

 
The woodwork is cherry, the 1906 Italian mantel is of wood and plaster.  The unusual chandelier is carved and painted wood.

Mr. Caldwell's father, Mr. Cadwell.  Mr. Caldwell changed the spelling of the family name, thinking it sounded more distinguished.
